The purpose of the EGR valve is to stop the exhaust from entering the intake manifold. After installation, the signals indicating damage to the EGR valve disappear.
After blocking off the EGR power and engine response return, preventing future failures and carbon deposits in the intake system.

FIAT, ALFA, LANCIA with engines JTD:
– 1.9 8V 80KM, 110KM i 115KM (FIAT BRAVO 100KM)
– 2.4 10V 140KM i 150KM
COMMENTS:
In the case of CF3 compliant engines, i.e. 1.9 JTD 110.111 HP and 2.4 JTD 140.150 HP versions, blocking off the EGR valve should be associated with disabling its operation in the engine’s ECU.
Blocking off the EGR in the CF3 engine will cause a distortion of the air flow expected by the ECU (no exhaust emissions and a greater mass of air measured by the MAF) and the engine control light will illuminate, and thus power loss and emergency mode.
Turning off the EGR in the ECU is carried out by reading the content of the ECU, modifying performance maps and programming the ECU again. This operation is practically the same as chip tuning.
While „Chipping” or „tuning” the car, it is advisable to immediately turn off and block off the EGR, if not turned off and blocked off, the engine dynamics are increased, which means that the EGR itself does not „keep up” to the rapid acceleration of the vehicle we can observe increased smoking, and momentary power fluctuations.
